Andrew Mitchell joined the Alexandra Rose Charities in 1988 as its Vice-Chairman.
Andrew is the Member of Parliament for Sutton Coldfield and Secretary of State for International Development. He is 52, married with two daughters and was educated at Rugby School and Cambridge University. He then served in the Army (Royal Tank Regiment) before joining Lazard.
Andrew was until recently a Trustee of GAP Activity Projects, the charity which gives young people the opportunity to work all over the world doing volunteer jobs. He is also the President of the Norman Laud Association.
