Each year Alexandra Rose Charities raises funds from events and corporate donors to supplement our Special Appeal Fund. Any charity may apply to us for a grant as long as they have taken part in either an annual collection or sold raffle tickets from our Rose Raffle. In each case applicants must have generated at least £100 from the activity.

Any qualifying organisation may apply to us for a project grant of up to £1,000 or for those with an income of less than £100,000 they can request a core cost grant of up to £500 if they do not have a specific project in mind.

It could not be easier to apply  ….. simply write us a letter explaining how much you would like, what it will be used for and how it will benefit your charity and we will take it from there.  Please ensure that letters reach us by Friday 23 October 2009.

Charities that have received grants in the past have this to say:

"I was delighted to hear that ARC are able to provide us with a grant so that we can take the children on a trip to Whipsnade Zoo.  As they need high levels of support outings of this kind can be limited.  This is a fantastic opportunity and we are very grateful for the support of ARC in this activity and their ongoing interest in us."  Clare Murray, Kids Can Achieve

"Thank you so much for awarding us a grant, we really appreciate the work that Alexandra Rose does to help support smaller charities like ourselves and are very pleased that our relationship is so positive."  Samantha Hunt – Friends of the Family, Winchester.

"We would like to thank you for your very generous grant.  We have been able to provide some much needed respite child care for local families during times of great distress which, undoubtedly would not have been available without your support. As a newly registered organisation we would also like to thank you staff for the wonderful commitment and efficiency that they have shown with both the Alexandra Rose Collection and subsequent raffle".  Debbie Jones – Spark Blaenymaes, Swansea.

"As a self help group that receives no statutory funding, it is only through the generosity of people like you that we are able to fulfil our commitment to give MS sufferers a better quality of life".
Martin Moroney – Trafford MS Therapy Centre.

"With your very generous donation, I was able to prepare 1736 Christmas parcels to be sent to our troops on deployment in Afghanistan, Falkland Islands, Bahrain, Basra and Baghdad as well as all our injured servicemen and women at Headley Court as you will see from the following photos.  Without your help, this would have been impossible.  Thank you."  Colin Hignett – RAFA
