Alexandra Rose Charities is an excellent starting point for young people to get involved with charity work.   With nearly 300 small charities spread across the UK – ranging from childrens’ charities, riding and sailing for the disabled, medical charities, the elderly or very young - there is a wide variety of choice and interest.  See our list of charities to find your local charities.

Many schools arrange an annual collection, the money raised being put into a Special Appeal Fund.   Charities can then apply for a grant from this fund for a specific project, piece of equipment or towards their core running costs.

Exciting Photographic Competition for 16-19 year olds

To launch Alexandra Rose’s centenary year in 1912, a photographic competition for 16-19 year olds is being launched this September in conjunction with OK! Magazine and the Sunday Express.

‘The rose is our inspiration, what is yours’ is the theme and prizes range from camera equipment to a work experience at OK! Magazine, including a celebrity shoot.

All schools will be mailed early in September with full details.
